01. DustDevil: How do you find your way to the music?
You mean to write music? Oh it just arrives… it happens to me since I was 13 y.o. , I need to go around all the time with a recorder and catch melodies and ideas once they come up to my mind. I feel so bad if I don’t have the chance to record, I feel like I lost an idea and it really drives me mad. Then I go home and put down the chords with the guitar and put some fast words on it. That’s how it all starts.
02. DustDevil: What did *The Love Crave* mean, how do you came to this name?
In the beginning it used to be The Love–C–Rave (C in roman numbers is 100) so the meaning was „The Hundredth Rave Of Love“, the title of a fiction story I wrote a few time ago, it was about a rave of vampires… It’s really easier to say „LoveCrave“ so we kept this name that can also mean „craving love“.
03. DustDevil: *The Angel And The Rain* is your first release, how do you feel after the debut album?
Once we realized that the record was about to be released in so many countries we kind of felt that we had to push as much as we could. We released records before but just in Italy. So now we work a lot on the band, in internet and at the rehearsals. It’s our chance to bring our music everywhere and very few italian bands are able to do this.
04. DustDevil: Are you working on a new album?
No, not yet even if we have tons of ideas for the next album. „The Angel And The Rain“ is a concept album, it has a story behind that you can find in the booklet. We already have the concept story for the next album so part of the hardest work is ready. Making music with concepts is the hardest thing to do, I think cause it’s double work, music + writing.
05. DustDevil: Live or Studio, what’s more fun for you?
I am a very lazy person so I love the studio work. It’s my moment of creativity, I can play with the sounds and imagine the songs finished. It’s a very exciting moment for me. The stage has a whole different emotion, I bring out my rage and I can never control it so after the shows I’m really tired, and if the next day I have to play again, it’s very heavy for me. But of course that’s part of the work and the best memories are bound to the tours.
06. DustDevil: What will the future bring for you?
I’m already living in the future. My future is making music, it doesn’t matter if then a record sells a million copies or just 1000. I will go on making another one, and then another one until I die.
07. DustDevil: Are you friends, in private too?
We are brothers J . Me and Tank know each other since 1994, Simon is a high school friend and Iakk is Tank’s best friend. I don’t know if we will play together forever but I’m sure we will always stay friends.
08. DustDevil: Do you have sideprojects?
No none. We love too much this band. I would feel so bad to work on other projects, it would be a betrayal in my heart so I’ve never even thought about it. I’m sure it’s the same for the other guys too.
09. DustDevil: How do you became support for *The Birthday Massacre* ?
We are signed to the same label, RepoRecords, so we had to try the show and got to support TheBirthdayMassacre in a few gigs in Germany. It has been a great time! Those guys are really nice and I hope we will get to meet them again.
10. DustDevil: Do you have a tip for newcomer bands?
You mean a suggestion? Oh I have no idea, you know I’ve been working so hard on the band lately that I never had the time to go to some shows and check some other bands out. I only can tell that the metal and gothic scene is really growing here in Milan, many clubs are opening and you can find tons of new metal/dark stores…which was very rare here.
